Family Great Danes is commited to helping our brothers and sisters where ever they may be. Each one of us can make a difference simply by trying to do something easily within our own individual ability to help Great Danes. Sometimes its passing information about having space in their home, or the details of a Dane in need of assistance through friends by word of mouth, and sometimes its more commited like providing grooming, or medical treatment to a Dane being rescued, or maybe even taking the responsibility of taking a Dane into your home as a family member. Even the smallest things make a difference.
FAMILIES WANTED for fostering and adopting Danes when necessary. Get on our database of friends prepared to assist Great Danes in need.
VOLUNTEERS WANTED: Doggie daycare, handling, training, walking, grooming, companionship, transportation, administrative staff, legal services, etc. contact us for details. (accommodations provided)
CORPORATE BENEFACTORS: Family Great Danes is a great way to show the kindness or your corporate sponsorship program. Every year Family Great Danes assists Great Danes in need of assistance that are no direct relation to our Danes other than the fact that they are Danes. This year we will reach out to Danes in need beyond our local communities and assist Danes where ever they are located. In order to do this we need more resources for expenses associated with transportation.

HI everyone this is Sable. Sable has been placed with a new family.
|
Sable is 8 and will be 9 on Nov 30th. Sable is a golden fawn colour and is 5'8" tall standing eye to eye and is 130lbs. She loves everyone and loves all kids, my boys grew up with her for the last 8 years. It is extremely hard for us to give her up since she is a part of our family, but I am now disabled and had to move my 2 boys and myself into my parents house and my dad is being so ignorant with her that it is not fair to her at all, he will not let her stay in the house at all even if it is cold or raining and she has never been an outside dog at all but loves to go out have fun then come in and lay on her bed. She loves people, kids, dogs and cats she is healthy and has never been sick in her lifetime. She, I believe, is a very small part of rodesian ridgeback in her, if so, 1/8th or less, but on the other hand others say she is full dane. She has been fixed and trained and knows some tricks. She makes a good guard dog too for your family, children and house. She is not a barker, she only barks if someone is knocking or she wants to play with another dog!
Sable is the Dane on the left in the pic.

Hi there, here are some more pictures of murphy. He was born july19/04 in the US, although he now lives in Ontario, he is registered with AKC He was neutered june 21/05, has all his shots including bordetella (jun 6/08) he is on interceptor for heartworm and advantage for flees, his annual shots are due in september. Murphy is a healthy 160lbs and eats 6 cups of dry food a day, and he loves peanut butter and cheese, he also likes to play fetch with his toys (until he he gets tired) his favorite thing to do is nap. He is very lovable but does like cats(well he likes to chase them)and he hasn't been around small children mine are older. He is an indoor dog and rarely knocks anything over. We have taught him to sit lay down spin and he also has to lay down when we are eating (because his head is as tall as the table) He rarely barks. We do love him because he is quite funny but have to give him away sadly because we can't keep him.
